The next time you see Laurie, it will probably be at her home for a tastefully decorated and delicious dinner party. Laurie feels most in her element when she can set a beautiful table and cook a homemade meal for her friends and family. She is empathetic, warm-hearted, and talented at developing people and teams, rendering her the perfect fit as our Senior Consultant.
What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us. Ralph Waldo Emerson
Laurie obtained degrees in American History and Literature from Middlebury College. She later discovered her love for the potential of peer-to-peer fundraising at Event 360. At Plenty, she became the backbone of our consulting team, facilitating client engagements by understanding the clients’ mission and organization, identifying business problems, and leading teams of both Plenty staff and clients to build solutions. These people-centered skills, combined with her knowledge of experiential program development, new business models, and fundraising best practices, make her an invaluable asset to our team.
The first to show up with her heart on her sleeve and a shovel in hand, Laurie often reminds the team, “The world needs you. It may seem overwhelming or discouraging at times, but every person and every contribution to positive change matters.”
When she’s not hosting people at her home, you can find Laurie running, kayaking, or hiking trails in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
