What is the winter solstice?
Known as a pivotal day of transition, the winter solstice, celebrated this year at 10:59 AM EST on December 21, is the shortest day and longest night of the year. The winter solstice has been celebrated by thousands of cultures and communities across the globe since the beginning of time.
 
Why celebrate the winter solstice?
The winter solstice is one of our favorite times of year. It serves as an invitation to reflect on growth, let go of what no longer serves us, and get clear on what we desire to manifest and who we want to be in the coming year.
