Dear Fundraiser,
Thank you.
Thank you for your care.
Thank you for your courage.
Thank you for your dedication.
Thank you for your talent.
Thank you for your give-a-shit.
As events shift,
and times are uncertain,
don’t give up.
Trust your knowing.
Rely on your strength.
Believe your inner nudge.
Speak your truth.
Listen.
Quiet your mind,
Give yourself space.
Share your heart.
Above, sideways, and below.
You’ve got this.
Remember why you care.
Why you are doing what you are doing.
You are needed.
You are worthy.
You are enough.
You’ve got this.
And, remember you are not alone.
You like to take responsibility for things.
But this isn't your fault.
You are not responsible for the pandemic.
You are not responsible for the economic crisis.
You do not have to solve the problems facing the nonprofit sector all by yourself.
The unraveling of these times
is birthing new ways.
Trust in that.
You've got this.
Muster the strength.
Try something different.
Allow the in-sight to find you.
Free your restrictions.
Get out of the box of what’s always been done.
What do your constituents really need now?
What do you really need now?
Ask questions.
Listen.
Allow the ideas to come.
And, try to be gentle with yourself.
Working longer isn't the answer.
Working harder won't pull blood from the stone.
It's okay to take a break.
It's okay to create space – in fact, we need you to.
Your passion matters, and if you use it all up pushing harder than ever, you won't have any left when we need you most.
You don’t need to look around to know what is working for others.
Best practices don't matter –
your practices do.
What works for your organization?
What works for your team?
What works for you?
It is time to stop the dysfunction.
Stop carrying it all on your shoulders.
It is time to end the cycle.
It is time to free the reigns and create anew.
The world needs you.
Your cause needs you.
Your organization needs you.
It's all true. But it isn't all on you to fix.
Your friends and family need you too.
You need you.
You are not alone.
You are valuable and you are valued.
We are here for you.
We can help.
We want to help.
Call upon us.
You’ve got this.
