Experiencing Enough

Jennifer Mulholland & Jeff Shuck

You've seen it on our website, you've read it in our blogs, and you've likely heard it on our podcast - at Plenty our vision is our name, we believe in a world of plenty for everyone.

We all have the choice to view things with a mindset of scarcity, or abundance. We have the choice to see the goodness, the growth, and the opportunity all around.

Below we'll explore the three themes that support a mindset of abundance and how we unlock that for ourselves, our families, our communities, and our companies.

There is enough.

What would happen if life weren’t a zero-sum game? What would it feel like to know that there is enough?

We've been taught that in order for us to win, someone else has to lose. But really, we aren't competing with each other, we're competing with a mindset of scarcity, a mindset that there isn't enough to go around.

When we are able to reorient our focus to a mindset of abundance, it calms and quiets our system into a place of trust and of faith, that we will be taken care of. We start to see what is good, what is plentiful, and what is enough. When we make the choice to see the good, we get more good.

When we see there is enough, we open ourselves to share more than we're used to. When we share more, we receive more. When we receive more, we are able to give more - and that is the cycle of reciprocity that contributes to creating a world of plenty for everyone.

You have enough.

When we focus on the lack, we see lack. When we start to look for abundance, we see abundance. What you focus on forms.

Each day we have the opportunity to focus on the gifts, the blessings, and the abundance that we already have - our health, our homes, our blessings, our connections.

We aren't saying there isn't inequity in the world, but in the times of hardship how can we can look broader to define what we have or don't have. Your perspective, focus, and intention matter. Even in our toughest of times, we have more than we think. What happens if we orient ourselves there? Does it present the abundance we seek?

We access our abundance, by focusing our attention there. When we make the most of what we have we find how ingenious, creative, and resourceful we can be. Can you believe that you are not lacking in anything?

You are enough.

You are enough. Just as you are. Right now.
You have everything you need to take the next step. You have been perfectly prepared for this moment. Every past learning has led you here.

You are love.
You are beauty.
You are wisdom.
You are care.

We all have the ability to give ourselves the love we deserve. The key is to listen to the quiet whispers of wisdom within and follow them. The whispers that tell us to care for our whole selves. The whispers that get our attention of what's working and what's not, what feels good and what doesn't, what expands us and what contracts us. The signs and signals are all there.

There is an unlearning needed of our automatic need to strive, prove and be more [we can speak from experience on this one]. You make a difference everyday by simply showing up. You were born with the innate ability to know what is best for you,

You are worthy. You are enough.
We believe in you. We need you to believe in you too.

Each day you have the choice to walk the path of plenty, choosing a mindset that you are enough, that you have enough, and that there is enough to go around.
