The 11/11 portal arrives when we need it most - a window of ascension, transformation, and choice. It's always been one of my favorite days of the year, as it marks exactly one month after my birthday. I remember the first 11/11 ceremony I led on 11/11/11 at Lululemon's popup store in Park City, Utah. That was a long time ago (now Lulu has a prominent home on Main Street) but the significance and the invitation to awaken and align has never dissipated. This year, I will be on a plane heading home from a lacrosse tournament in Maryland, so leading ceremony isn't in the cards. But, if you want to tune in you can do so wherever you are by listening to this explanation and meditation.
For those unfamiliar with this special day of alignment and choice, here are a few fun ways to understand the meanings.
The number 11 is a master number, which means it carries a significant vibration of heightened awareness, vision, and profound inspiration (in-spirit). It's known for its high vibration in numerology and as a bridge between the physical and the spiritual realms. When we tune into 11 and see it on our clocks, phones, or in seemingly random circumstances, we are being sent an invitation to uplift ourselves out of the minutia of our day-to-day third-dimensional lives and into higher realms of the possibilities that align with our light.
In physical form, the shape of 11 forms a doorway, a passage through, and a gateway to a new reality. A fresh existence of creation is on the other side of the doorway, calling us to walk through. This is the Portal of Transformation - the choice to change form metaphorically. Maybe form is an old way you used to look at the world, or how you show up in relationships. Or, maybe form is simply a way of being that just doesn't fit you any longer. Whatever it is, you get to choose how you want to change for yourself and how you want to adapt to contribute to the world around you.
Symbolically, the number 1 represents new beginnings – a time when we get to start over and pave a new path, empowered with choice and intention. If you place the number 1 next to itself, you get the number 11. Eleven is also known as the "angel number" - a symbol of blessings, faith, and enlightenment. It is the alignment of the double 1's that brings power to our senses, activating our ability to see, sense, and know what is best for ourselves.
The 11:11 coding is also known to many mystics as the language of the signs - the way the formless can get our intention in the form. Sightings of 11:11 often snap us out of our third-dimensional thinking into a higher state of connection - reacquainting ourselves with our ancestors, angels, ascended masters, and guides (if you believe in those things). When we notice the synchronicity of unplanned sightings of 11:11, our senses expand into higher dimensions beyond our physical reality. We are invited into a state of expansion beyond our intellectual cocoons and escorted into a mystery of connection – to our intuition, our six senses, and ALL that is.
11.11 also represents balance, inviting us to bring harmony to whatever may feel at odds. It may look like we live in a polarized world of dark and light, left and right, red and blue, right and wrong, love and fear, head and heart. Yet, these elements beg for union and ask equally for freedom, fairness, kindness, care, and compassion so we can work without resistance and usher in an evolutionary path of harmony, peace, and prosperity.
As we bring our attention to this 11:11 portal, we are being called to rise above what appears to be contentious, at odds, and in competition. We are being asked to shift from separation consciousness to unity consciousness – a state of awareness where our rights vs. wrongs, the haves vs. have-nots, the strong vs. weak, and the competition vs. cooperation paradigms give way to connection and oneness...A place and way of being where we look for the light in one another instead of the darkness beyond our cloaks, armor, beliefs, positions, and behavior....Where we can see each other as a collection of light beings who come from the same source (whatever you believe that to be), living side by side, co-creating and experiencing this experience of life together.
To create this potentiality, we must turn within, for we are the change we seek to see.
If we seek harmony, we must weave harmony.
If we seek peace, we must bring peace.
If we want love, we must offer love.
It is the only way to create the change we want.
You can't see what you're not.
You only see what you are.
If you choose to seize the invitation of the 11:11 portal, take a step through the portal of transformation.
You are ready.
You are ready to awaken.
You are ready to expand.
You are ready to shine.
You are ready to rise.

- What do I want to experience in my relationships?

- What legacy do I want to leave behind?
- Notice.
- Notice how you show up in your conversations. What do you see? How do you feel?
- Notice where and when you light up.
- Notice when you shut down and turn away.
- Notice the opportunities and blessings.
- Notice the signs - the 11:11's, 12:12's, 2:22, 3:33, and 4:44's that find you. And, when they do, look up their meaning!
