A new year is upon us!
It's time to create a new you. Enjoy this guided meditation as we place our attention on our intention for the coming year.
Words by Jennifer Mulholland, music by Jeff Shuck.
A new year is upon us.
As we take this moment to quiet, to close our eyes, to become still.
As we bring our attention on our intentions for the coming year in the coming months, we notice our breath as we give thanks for this gift of life.
Our life force that infuses. Our hopes and dreams, our choices, our actions.
We take a moment to settle as we bring mindfulness to what we want to create for the coming year.
We are so much more powerful than we've been led to believe.
So we claim our right, our birthright. To bring our hopes and dreams to form.
As we get clear of our intention of how we want to experience life, how we want our relationships to be, what we want to accomplish, and what we want to see.
We imagine the coming seasons as we start with winter. This time for rest. For unfolding. For becoming.
As we play in the snow, or curl up next to a fire we contemplate the year to come.
Imagining what you want to experience, what you want to receive.
We receive the cozy comfort of this season.
As we find warmth inside, we emerge into spring. A time for a blossoming. For new life, new growth to emerge outside and in.
What wants to awaken inside of you? What projects, accomplishments, adventures want to spring forth with beauty and with grace?
As we look ahead to summer. The transition of play. Of time off. Of travels. Of joy. Of wonder.
We welcome in the heat of the sun to bring brightness into our lives.
As we emerge and move into fall, this beautiful time of harvesting what we've worked so hard for in the months prior.
The turning of the leaves; the beauty that abounds. The colors all around.
Imagining what you want to harvest in the fall of this coming year – the fruits of your labor.
The outcomes of your intentions.
As we emerge back into winter a year from now with reflection. A sense of peace. A time of rest.
To receive. To be.
Imagining what you want to experience as if it's already happened in the coming year.
Stepping into your intention with greater awareness. With greater attention.
Using your breath to empower your dreams, your hopes, your passions and longings.
A new year is upon us.
You are so powerful to create whatever it is in your heart and your mind.
Giving thanks for the best year of your life so far.
The best is here and the best is yet to come.
A new year is upon us.
What will you make of it?
Using your breath, bringing awareness back into the room that you're in, and gently opening your eyes.
This meditation was originally recorded and posted in 2019. We updated it in January 2024 for the new year. Enjoy!
