Another Dream Come True

Jennifer Mulholland & Jeff Shuck
April 30, 2018

Grateful. Fulfilled. In awe.

On April 17, 2018 idealists traveled from all over the country to Park City, Utah for Plenty’s inaugural wellbeing retreat, Lumeria. Lumeria was truly a dream come true for the Plenty team. At Plenty, our aim is to blend our  experience in business, wellbeing and spirituality for people who are ready to grow through connection, authenticity and self-awareness. Last week, we were honored to facilitate a delicious experience of self-care including rest, rejuvenation and replenishment for a group of beautiful beings courageous enough to make themselves a priority.

We are all designed to be healthy, happy and whole. However, sometimes the speed and activity of life can take its toll. Lumeria is an opportunity to pause, reflect and deeply explore right relationship with mind, body and spirit. During the retreat, we covered three main themes: right relationship with body, mind and spirit.

  • Body: Your body is magnificent. It has innate intelligence – and innate wellbeing. It knows how to heal without you forcing it or telling it to do so.
  • Mind: Our minds create thoughts, but we are not our thoughts. Mind isn’t worry or anxiety – those are thoughts. Mind is the essence behind thought. When we create space for ourselves free of attachment to thought, insights and creativity appear to us according to perfect Divine timing.
  • Spirit: We have a mind but we are not our minds. We have a body but we are not our bodies. Beyond form is spirit – ever-present, everlasting, immortal. We are all made of the same Source, whatever you name it or wonder it to be. We all connected to it and to each other.

We ventured out into nature, quietly journeyed within, played with artistic expression with Jill Johnson from the Paint Mixer, moved with different types of fitness with Beau Co. and Haley Kelly, we relaxed through yoga with Christa Jutras, learned about functional nutrition with Shannon Doleac, settled into guided meditation, explored the role of thought, received the healing tones of sound weaving from Rebecca Holt, explored the guidance all around with medium Shantel Johnson, shared supportive healing tools, enjoyed the peace of a candle-lit dinner, experienced a mindful mountain hike, nourished our bodies with healthy and delicious meals for breakfast, lunch and dinners, napped, and joined together in sacred ceremony - all to help these wonderful souls honor and treasure themselves.

We are still in AWE of what transpired for these beautiful women and ourselves. Our graduates called Lumeria intentional, safe, beautiful, fun and unforgettable.

“Lumeria was an incredible experience that I would highly recommend to anyone wanting more peace and fulfillment in their life. The supportive and safe atmosphere created by Jen, Jeff and Sierra allowed for an amazing opportunity for self growth and reflection. I was able to open my heart and mind to new experiences and learn about how to work on connecting my mind, body and soul in a positive and compassionate manner. The diverse activities, incredible people and beautiful environment made for an unforgettable week. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of such a unique and special experience." ~ Stephanie Walski

We can't grow professionally if we are burning ourselves out personally. We can't grow personally if we are depleted professionally. We live one life.

Whether you are an executive, parent, entrepreneur, student, activist or whatever role you find yourself playing, you need to invest in yourself in order to grow. Sometimes we need to slow down so our dreams can speed up.

You need that time-out to care for your whole-self and make yourself a priority.  Join us in October for our next Lumeria, Plenty's wellbeing retreat
